Donald Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Commerce, Wilbur Ross, is not a Goldman Sachs alumni. So … yay.
But he is a takeover artist who swoops in to destroy near-bankrupt companies for fun and profit, earning him the moniker “the king of bankruptcy.”
Oh, and of course, he’s got a Russian connection.
A study prepared exclusively for DCReport.org by James S. Henry reveals deep financial ties between Donald Trump’s nominee for Commerce secretary, Wilbur Ross, and three Russian oligarchs, whose lives and fortunes depend on staying in the good graces of Vladimir Putin.
One of Donald Trump’s Moscow pipelines is a partnership that lets oligarchs convert illicit funds into Manhattan real estate while lining Trump’s pocket. How is Wilbur Ross going to top that?
These relationships between nominee Ross and the oligarchs involve ownership and management of a European bank with a reputation for laundering Russian money and making bad loans.
Well that … would do it. Wilbur Ross and his Russian partners have a more than $1 billion dollar stake in the Bank of Cyprus, a bank with an infamous “we don’t care where you got it” policy.
NOTE: Since this was written, Wilbur Ross was approved/confirmed by the REPUBLICAN SENATE to be SECRETARY OF COMMERCE. God Help Us/USA
