Article II \u00a7 4 of the Constitution provides as follows:<\/h4>\n

\u00a0“The\u00a0President<\/strong>, Vice\u00a0President\u00a0<\/strong>and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on\u00a0impeachment<\/strong>\u00a0for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.”<\/h4>\n

What Does The Word Treason Mean?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

Treason<\/em>\u00a0against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of\u00a0Treason<\/em>\u00a0unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.<\/h4>\n

What Does The Term \u201cAid and Comfort\u201d Mean in 2nd paragraph above?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Yale Law journal describes the aid and comfort as for the betterment, aid in helping them achieve specific laid out goals they can not accomplish on their own as well and\u00a0complete surrender or\u00a0control of someone\u2019s needs\u00a0as well as desires of something.<\/h4>\n

I like to know the law, it\u2019s important in our country.<\/h4>\n

During the campaign, Donald Trump implored the Russians to hack and make public Hillary Clinton\u2019s presumed missing emails. That the Russians were already hacking and releasing information to damage Hillary\u2019s campaign\u00a0 and that Trump\u2019s request was made publicly during a campaign rally does not diminish the fact that he was asking a foreign nation with which we have serious conflicting interests to take action to undermine American electoral processes is tantamount to treason.<\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

To invite a foreign nation to undermine our electoral processes is a violation of the sanctity and sovereignty of the US. Is that not treason?<\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

Take some time to read None Dare Call it Treason<\/em> (billmoyers.com\/…)<\/a> about during the Goldwater era, and it is ironic that now the conservative Republicans are the ones who must come to terms with the treasonous behavior of their chosen leader, or accept that they have become parties to it. In the meantime, let\u2019s call it as it is. When Trump invited the participation of a foreign power in our election, it was treason. When he obstructs and disparages investigation into hacking by the foreign power that put him in office that too is treason. And we must call it that.\u00a0 TRUMP\u00a0 TREASON<\/strong><\/h3>\n
